Through the programs One World Center offers, Development Instructors have worked in development projects in the poorest parts of the globe, standing shoulder to shoulder with the poor in an effort to create a more sustainable world. They have, among many other activities, worked to improve teaching methods in Malawian primary schools. They have also being part of implementing the Food for Knowledge program with the aim of improving the learning capacity of hundreds of Mozambican children at local primary schools. The Development Instructors have also given support to students at teacher training colleges, started local food production and mobilized families and communities to change habits for better hygiene. Without the support from Recycle for Change, these activities could not have taken place.
