Recycle for Change runs a self-subsidized textile reuse program that costs taxpayers nothing. Revenue generated from donated clothing and shoes fully funds our collection operations across more than 11 counties — and after those operating costs are covered, surplus revenue funds the volunteer training programs that support sustainable development projects worldwide.
We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 94-3371033). This is how our expenses broke down in fiscal year 2024, as reported to the IRS on Form 990.
93.3% of what we spent went directly to programs — collecting textiles and supporting development work — with 6.7% on administration and fundraising combined. Full figures are in our Form 990, linked below.
Our Form 990 filings are public record and available through GuideStar/Candid and ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer for anyone who wants to review our finances and governance in detail.
Whether it's hosting a Box, organizing a collection drive, or just dropping off a bag — every pound counts.
